My goal as an artist is to push the relationship between art and social activism, primarily for women's rights.

For me, the most pressing women's issues arise from harmful power dynamics that cause unseen consequences in our daily lives, such as rape and sexual abuse, domestic violence, eating disorders, and unequal pay. Through a combination of text, image, and book, I seek to challenge popular cultural beliefs and practices that are detrimental to women's health.

I developed a passion for books because of all the roles they play. A book can be authoritative and playful, artistic and functional, historic and cutting-edge, and just plain magical.

German Expressionism has had the greatest influence on my artwork because of its emotional impact -- conveyed through bold lines, shapes, and color.
